We're from Norwich - vinyl + CD

In 2003 the first 'We're from Norwich' compilation was released followed by 2 more compilations and a couple of bootlegs each serving up a juicy slice of a time that is still considered to be a high point for Norwich music; a time when multiple Norwich bands were signed to major record labels, touring internationally, recording Peel sessions, NME ran a feature on the Norwich music scene, dozens of grassroots venues and pop-up promoters hosted 100s of gigs marked by a great proliferation of creative freedom, cross-collaboration and a general sense that anybody could pluck the magic of music from the very spheres which orbit us all.

20 years later, the team behind the compilations got back together along with Off with their Records and put together an epic new compilation of current artists. The project included:

A 12-track vinyl LP, a further 15-track CD, a download containing all those songs plus the original ''We're from Norwich' compilations 1-3 and 2 bootleg compilations covering 2003-2009, a book collecting articles from local musicians and promoters and a series of gigs across the city.
