Current Undercurrant was a regular music night which took place the last Wednesday of most months at Jurnets Bar, a genuinely legendary venue on Wensum Street, Norwich, which operated for decades before closing around the time of the 2020 pandemic. The night was created by Shane Olinski in conjunction with Ryan Williamson as a recording event, part of Shane's perpetual drive to create and capture the vibrant music scene in his beloved home town.
The tracks from this compilation are all from one night in November 2017 and shows how special Norwich's music scene is. This free download is a treasure trove that gives the listener a semblance of what it was like in Norwich at the time, where events like this were happening weekly, and in particular what it was like at Jurnets bar.
